Bit Thicket AI is a one-person consultancy, and that person is me. I’ve spent 23 years building software professionally — everything from enterprise systems to startups — and another 17 years in public service, including 12 years on municipal boards and commissions and 5 years as an elected city council member.
I started Bit Thicket because I kept watching two things happen at the same time: AI tools getting remarkably capable, and the businesses and governments around me having no idea how to use them. Not because they’re behind — because they’re busy running operations, serving clients, and serving the public. They need someone who understands both the technology and the real-world context it has to work in.
That’s what I do. I’m not a vendor pitching a product. I’m an engineer and a public servant who helps organizations get practical, lasting value from AI — with the kind of judgment that only comes from building real systems and making real decisions for real communities.

We work across the open-source ecosystem (DeepSeek, Llama, Qwen, Mixtral, and more) and can integrate commercial APIs where appropriate. We recommend models based on your specific use case, performance requirements, and privacy needs.
